"I a princess"
More and more each day Olivia cracks me up with just how smart she has become! I cant believe in 5 weeks she will be 2yo! We have been going over the Disney characters and from day one Jessie has always called her Princess Livie - so the other night while she was getting ready to get in the bath she looked at me and said "I a princess" at that point I just looked at her, laughed and said "yes you are!". At that point what else was I going to say. We are patiently counting down our days to Disney World - If anything happens in the meanwhile I will let everyone know!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
Well first let me start by saying Merry Christmas. We thought this one was going to run smooth but boy we were wrong! I got a call at work on Tuesday saying that my sister in law was put in the hospital because she was having contractions and they needed to monitor her. The good news is that right now as long as she stays in bed and does what she is told Mr. Lucas should stay put?!??! Well, originally Jasons parents and sister and her hubby were supposed to come to our house on Christmas Eve and exchange presents but things changed. Once we found out that Faith wasnt getting picked up until noon we called our parents and had them both come over at 9am.
Well of all morning for Little Miss Olivia to decide she wanted to sleep in she chose Christmas Morning. I FINALLY woke her up at around 8:30 since Faith was antsy (what 10 yo wouldn't be) and the mess began! Livie was VERY picky every piece of wrapping paper had to come off the gift and no matter how big or small that was it HAD to go into the trash bag - if only she would clean her toys up that well! Jasons parents came over and so did mine and they watched the girls open up the rest of their presents!
Just to name a few things that Livie got: Farmer Elmo playset, Crayola Color Wonder, Crayola Tadoodler & Sing and Scribble Station, Books, DVD's, Elmo Live and a cash register... I could continue the list of course and we still arent done exchanging gifts with people!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Next year shold be even more interesting with 2 little new ones in the mix as well! Enjoy the photos below!

Getting into the Holiday spirit!
Well we finally put up our Christmas tree... Actually I should probably say decorated it. Livie thought that she was supposed to wear gloves in order to decorate it. She soon realized she couldnt do much with them on! She did a good job of helping and has figured out the switch to turn the ligts off and on. Every once in a while she decides she wants to move a few ornaments around but for the most part she does really well with it being around!

A Trip to the Sweetest Place on Earth
Last weekend we went to Hershey Park for their Christmas CandyLane with both sets of parents. It figures I pick the coldest day of the year to go there and I picked the hottest day of the year to go to the zoo! Anyways Olivia slept the whole way there which is what we were hoping for since it was usually morning naptime. We got there and bundled her up and headed for the Chocolate Factory only to get there and it be shut down.
We headed into the park and the girls got on some rides, at first we did the carousel and then Olivia and Faith got on the mini Himalaya - at first Livie cried but then I made faces at her and she started laughing and didnt stop until the ride was over! Then it was time to see just how much of a big girl she could be - we headed over to the dinosaurs which everyone else was to big to ride and I strapped her in TIGHT - all i could see was her trying to stand up! She looked at me a bit worried and then the ride started and she LOVED it. This made me feel so good because it was our pre-cursor for WDW and she did awesome! She is still a bit hesitant with characters but hopefully that will improve - we will see! Here are some photos from that day!

Bug meets Bella

Well my sister has a new addition. Her name is Bella and she is what I think may be Olivia's new best friend. She is a Sheltie just like the Lacy, Zoey & Savannah and so far all she does is sleep alot. I took Olivia to meet Bella yesterday and all she kept saying the whole way over there was "puppy puppy puppy". Once we got there she was a bit confused because my sister put her tree up and Olivia's toys were no longer in her corner - she gave Bella the new toys she had bought her and insisted Aunt Gigi open them so Bella could play with them - she even showed her how to bite on the chew toy! Here are some pictures of the newfound friends!

My o my what a week it's been!
Well, its been one crazy week. Two Fridays ago Livie came home with a fever and it made it to 103 that night. We did the usual Tylenol, Motrin switch off and it seemed to be working. By Saturday I wasn't feeling well with some type of stomach flu so Jason took Livie with him to Faith's eye dr. appt. When they got back Livie was still running a fever so we gave her more meds and took a nap. The next day we went to his parents house and when Livie woke up from her nap she had what looked like a ulcer on the outside of her mouth and again was running a fever. We went home and she seemed to be doing ok but when we woke up Monday she had more of them, soooo I called the dr and we got in at 5:30 that night. At first the dr. said they looked like cold sores and then when she looked in her mouth she saw some ulcers but also noticed she had thrush. Boy was that news to me! I had no clue about it and thought it was something that infants only got - so we have been treating that all week on top of making sure everything gets washed, sterilized, etc. She has been so miserable especially at night and getting her back in her bed for a full night has been an event.
Thanksgiving was nice - we went to Jason's parents for dinner but I wanted a cute shirt that Olivia could wear and I couldnt seem to find one anywhere of course since Christmas stuff was already out! So i decided to make shirts, we make Turkeys out of handprints and I got some really neat wood stamps while we were at Springfest that I hand't used yet and I have to say I am very happy with how they turned out. I however in this process have learned just how independant Olivia is or wants to be - she wanted to draw her own turkey, she wanted to paint them and she wanted to do the lettering - i probably should have let her but it was me being to perfect too.
We also found out this past week that Jason's sister is having a boy so I am sure Olivia will have yet another person to bully. I have to say she really doesnt care how big you are if your doing something she doesnt like she will let you know! We have been working on counting and she can for the most part count to 10 in both English and Spanish. She talks more and more every single day and is becoming quite the Parrot we were afraid of! I look at her every day and cant do anything but smile no matter how frustrated I may be with her some days. She definately has my temper and Jason's stubborness!
Here are some photos of the shirts we made and Livie modeling hers!
