My o my what a week it's been!

Well, its been one crazy week. Two Fridays ago Livie came home with a fever and it made it to 103 that night. We did the usual Tylenol, Motrin switch off and it seemed to be working. By Saturday I wasn't feeling well with some type of stomach flu so Jason took Livie with him to Faith's eye dr. appt. When they got back Livie was still running a fever so we gave her more meds and took a nap. The next day we went to his parents house and when Livie woke up from her nap she had what looked like a ulcer on the outside of her mouth and again was running a fever. We went home and she seemed to be doing ok but when we woke up Monday she had more of them, soooo I called the dr and we got in at 5:30 that night. At first the dr. said they looked like cold sores and then when she looked in her mouth she saw some ulcers but also noticed she had thrush. Boy was that news to me! I had no clue about it and thought it was something that infants only got - so we have been treating that all week on top of making sure everything gets washed, sterilized, etc. She has been so miserable especially at night and getting her back in her bed for a full night has been an event.

Thanksgiving was nice - we went to Jason's parents for dinner but I wanted a cute shirt that Olivia could wear and I couldnt seem to find one anywhere of course since Christmas stuff was already out! So i decided to make shirts, we make Turkeys out of handprints and I got some really neat wood stamps while we were at Springfest that I hand't used yet and I have to say I am very happy with how they turned out. I however in this process have learned just how independant Olivia is or wants to be - she wanted to draw her own turkey, she wanted to paint them and she wanted to do the lettering - i probably should have let her but it was me being to perfect too.

We also found out this past week that Jason's sister is having a boy so I am sure Olivia will have yet another person to bully. I have to say she really doesnt care how big you are if your doing something she doesnt like she will let you know! We have been working on counting and she can for the most part count to 10 in both English and Spanish. She talks more and more every single day and is becoming quite the Parrot we were afraid of! I look at her every day and cant do anything but smile no matter how frustrated I may be with her some days. She definately has my temper and Jason's stubborness!

Here are some photos of the shirts we made and Livie modeling hers!

Pigtail Princess

In a rare mood Olivia let me put her hair in pig tails this weekend! She didn't mess with them too much and left them alone for most of the day. She spent the morning with my sister so I could get some cleaning done and when I picked her up from my moms she looked at me and tried to pull them out! I guess she was showing me who was boss!

A weekend with the dogs

This past weekend Jason's parents dogs stayed with us while they went away. Let's just say that Livie had the time of her life them, we only wish she wouldn't have picked up their bad habits! By Saturday morning Olivia thought the because the dogs licked her she was supposed to lick them, so everytime she tried to kiss them she would stick her tongue out so they could lick her tongue - I know gross! She had a cow everytime Jason took them out and we had to go outside everytime they did and when Jason brought them back in she would have to hold Sweet Pea's leash until he was done taking off Trouble's leash. She loves giving them treats and gets upset if they walk out of the same room that she is in. I told Jason he was going to have to have his parents pick them up before we get home tomorrow or Livie will have a meltdown! Enjoy the photos!

Livie's 1st Disney On Ice Show

So today we went to Disney on Ice and it was Olivia's first show! I was a little hesitant about how much she would enjoy it or if she would really sit through it all and the fact that she didn't take a nap before we went really had me a bit worried. We got there and did the pre-show which had all the princess dresses and then we went to our seats. Once the show started Livie kind of looked like what is going on but within a few minutes she started waving and clapping! SHE LOVED IT!!!! When it was all over she looked at me and said "All done" and we hadn't even gotten out of the garage before she was sound asleep!!

Halloween

Last night was Halloween and boy did Olivia LOVE IT. This year was so much more fun because she somewhat knew what it was about! We had been working for the past two weeks on getting her to say "Trick or Treat" and then putting candy in her Elmo bucket - at first she wouldn't say it when we got to the houses and then after a while she would say it after we left. There were even a few times where she would grab into the people's bowl and then try to shut their door on them! By the end of the night she was saying it and it was soooo cute! She wasnt very scared of much of anything. Jason and I would go into the Halloween section everytime we went places and would turn on the scary stuff and let her touch them and Jason would put on masks and we would let her touch them and that seemed to really help alot. One lady said she couldn't believe Livie walked up to her porch because so many kids would get halfway up and turn around they got scared! But not my princess - she could have cared less! She filled up her Elmo bucket 3 times!!!
Here are some photos from last night!!!
